About Me

I'm a web programmer with over 10 years of commercial experience. My first job was PHP programming for Actinet.pl and my main responsibility was integration layouts delivered by a designer with company's bespoken CMS solution. For a next 5 years I worked for several digital agencies in Poland like GoldenSubmarine, RedExperts or Playsoft. Most of my work was related to web development, the skills I learnt during these days was PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

After that I became a full time freelancer on UpWork platform. I specialise in Wordpress themes and plugins development. I also created a few plugins for CodeCanyon, which is quite a challenge due to standards they have and verification process. I love to be proud of the work I do, this is why I always put an extra effort to make the project even better. There is always a way to make things better: additional cool effect, making the website load faster or use less bandwidth, optimisation of the pictures. That's what I do, raising the standards each time.

Wordpress

Most of the projects I do are Wordpress related. I create custom themes from scratch and also a plugins. I use minimal amount of plugins to increase the performance. Typical website I do has ACF plugin for custom fields, Contact Form 7 or Gravity Forms or Formidable to handle contact form submission and that's all what we need! To make the website multilang, I use WPML or Polylang, and if you need ecommerce, I'll use WooCommerce.

I use Bootstrap for CSS, to make the website responsive and perfect on all browsers. jQuery is the JS library I use in Wordpress projects. I merge CSS and JS files to reduce the number of requests and make the website load faster. Theme's pictures are optimised with tinypic.

After 5 years if intense Wordpress development I produced my own way and standards which are very liked by my clients (see testimonials below).

PHP

It's impossible to know Wordpress without PHP. Before I became a Wordpress specialist, I developed custom PHP solutions.

I used many PHP frameworks like Symphony, Kohana, CakePHP or Laravel (and this one seems to be the best). Apart from bespoken CMS solutions, I developed many tools for image processing, web crawlers or XLS/DOC/PDF generation.

Node.JS

Node.js

Node.JS is a super fast backend solution, it's very often used as backend for mobile apps or React/Angular/Vue.JS frontend apps.

With Express.js we can create easily and fast RESTful API endpoint, Socket.io gives us real-time engine, works perfectly with Node.

I did a few projects with Node and I keep on looking for more, I believe it will become more popular in near future.

Mobile Apps

Mobile Apps

I develop mobile apps for both iOS and Android platforms. I know native solution for Android (java) and hybrid for both (React Native, Cordova).

A few of my apps has been accepted my marketplaces so I know the process.

React.js

React

React is a modern frontend JS library designed to develop one page apps and interfaces. It runs very smooth and gives an impression like if we're using an app, not a website.

I tried a few frontend frameworks like Angular or Vue.JS and in my opinion React seems to be the best due to performance and learning curve. It also seems to be the most popular.

The scope of this project was to translate the designs delivered by a client into fully responsive custom Wordpress theme. The theme contains many page templates to handle required functionalities. There are two types of apps comparison pages, the app review page was also quite a challenge. Content edition is possible via custom fields created with ACF.

Collabary

This was another successful design 2 Wordpress transition. Once again the design was delivered by a client and my job was to create custom theme. Creating a nice administration zone and responsive HTML/CSS was not the only task, there was a few animations to implement as well.

Preventing Food Waste

It was a pleasure to integrate this nice and clean design (delivered by a client) as a Wordpress theme. This time there were requested extra animations which made the website vivid and delightful.

Aneden Consulting

Modern, one page company website - just like mine. There are just 4 sections, but the layout is adjusting to the size of your screen. The main reason why I don't want to go back in time is because we didn't had CCS3 back then. This website looks simple, but wouldn't be created few years ago.

Premier SOS

Wordpress websites is not the only thing I do. This time I did a native Android app which gives quick and easy access to the emergency contact details and medical info of participants. The app basically gets the data via API and displays it to the user. Simple, but very nice position in my portfolio.

Zone7

This is an another example of successful design 2 Wordpress transition. Apart from stuff I do everyday: perfect PSD 2 HTML/CSS transition, custom fields to manage the content, responsiveness, this website has slanted lines in the layout. I did them with pure CSS, which minimised the amount of pictures used by the theme.

Equova

Client delivered me this modern and clean design to integrate it with Wordpress. This one required many new CSS3 solutions like flexbox, transforms and also some animations. All parts of the website are easily editable with custom fields system I created.

Leung Gallery

Bilingual art gallery website. Client delivered me a very modern and clean design to implement it with Wordpress. The website has many effects and modern CSS3 solutions. Flexible and intuitive admin zone was made with ACF plugin and build-in Wordpress functionalities like custom post types and taxonomies.
